here is what went down at the county seeding meeting...

we got the 15th seed.

we play Morris County School of Technology (the 18th seed) on Oct 4 at 3pm.

if we win that game, we play the #2 seed (Chatham) on Fri Oct 10 at 4pm.

if we win that game, we play the winner of Kinnelon(#7) vs Morris Knolls(#10) on Oct 18th at 3pm.

ALSO!

The Mount Olive game scheduled for Fri Oct 10 is going to be moved to Sat Oct 11 at 10am.

and that is that.

we play Morristown tomorrow.

roxbury game!

excellent job tonight!!

i just got an email from amanda's mom, here it is:

"Those were two exciting varsity games against Roxbury! I
am not sure if anyone told you, but Cablevision was in the
RHS gym taping our varsity games today. I saw a gentleman
with a camera and asked him if he was taping for Roxbury.
He told me no, he was taping for the local Cablevision
Station. The games will be highlighted briefly next
Tuesday, September 23, at 7PM and 11PM, on Channel 78."

i dont know if i get that channel, but will someone please tape it?!?!?!?!?!

1st game!

"Randolph 2, East Orange 0

Senior setter had Amanda Wegner three aces and eight assists as Randolph defeated East Orange, 25-11, 25-22 in its season opener. Rams senior outside hitter Monica Tshanakas added four aces and two kills. Eileen Lacaden had three aces, and Jen Fernandez served up two."

ladies,

i want to split up jv and v for practice.

so jv will go right after school from 2:30-4 on tues wed and thurs, and varsity will go from 4-5:45.

jv, set up one net in the auxiliary gym and be ready to start practice promptly at 2:30 (not a minute later!) and varsity will be responsible for cleaning up.

our first full week of school is coming up and we will have our team lunch in b135 on monday.

i also forgot to mention this to everyone (i told a couple people...) but the ref on thursday said that he was impressed with our persistence. he said you girls never stopped playing! that is a huge compliment, and you should be proud of your dedication to the game.

i have seen tons of improvement this week! you are all working hard and i am very proud!

i see TONS of potential in this team and i am very excited for this season.

just for the record, state tournament dates are Nov 4, 7, 11, 13, 15, 20, 22, and 23. (and yes, i want/need to get that far!!!!!!!)

i hope that all of you have a fantastic weekend and look forward to next week when we get to start our scrimmages!!
